My Crack Burger, My Way
Adam & Eve Honey Bourbon BBQ Crack Burger
This is not a polite burger. It shows up loud, stacked, and a little over the top in the best way possible. My Adam & Eve Honey Bourbon BBQ Crack Burger layers juicy seasoned beef with smoky turkey bacon, tangy Miracle Whip, ranch seasoning, and a kiss of my honey bourbon barbecue sauce. Then it gets crowned with 2 fried egg, turning each burger into a rich, messy, fork-and-hands-required experience.
It is built in true diner-style stacks, with double patties per burger, making every bite a mix of savory, smoky, sweet, and creamy.
Why These Ingredients Work
Ground beef brings the juicy backbone. Turkey bacon adds smoky crunch without pork. Miracle Whip melts into the beef, keeping it tender and slightly tangy. Ranch seasoning deepens the savory profile with herbs and salt. Honey bourbon barbecue sauce pulls everything into a sweet, smoky glaze that clings to every bite. And the fried egg on top ties it all together with richness and softness.
Ingredient-by-Ingredient Breakdown
Ground Beef
The base of the burger. An 80/20 blend gives the best juiciness and structure for stacking patties.
Turkey Bacon
Adds smoky flavor and crispy bits throughout the burger mixture. Of course, regular pork bacon works here too.
Miracle Whip
Helps bind the patties while adding a creamy tang that keeps the beef from tasting too heavy. Regular Mayo works but, truly, give the Miracle Whip a try.
Ranch Seasoning
Brings herbs, garlic, and savory depth that blends into the beef. As always, read all packaging to make sure you buy a product that works with your diet.
Honey Bourbon Barbecue Sauce
Adds sweetness, smoke, and a glossy coating inside the patties. The full recipe is available on my YouTube page at 8 Simple Ingredients.
Eggs
Fried and stacked on top of each burger for richness and that classic Adam and Eve “egg on a burger” moment.
Gluten-Free Buns
Soft base for the stacked patties, soaking up all the juices and sauce. Of course, regular buns are fine too for our non-gluten free friends. This burger is also great over a salad.
Recipe Information
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 to 18 minutes
Total Time: 30 to 35 minutes
Yield: 2 double-patty burgers
Ingredients
1½ pounds ground beef
½ cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tablespoon Miracle Whip
1 teaspoon ranch seasoning
2 teaspoons honey bourbon barbecue sauce
4 eggs
2 gluten-free buns
Salt and pepper are optional seasonings and do not count toward ingredient limits.
Instructions
Heat a grill, griddle, or skillet over medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled turkey bacon, Miracle Whip, ranch seasoning, and honey bourbon barbecue sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into thin patties.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
When placed in your skillet to cook, press patties down with a burger press or spatula. Cook patties for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
While the patties cook, fry the eggs in a separate skillet to your preferred doneness.
Build each burger by stacking two patties per gluten-free bun.
Top each stack with a fried egg.
Serve immediately while everything is hot, juicy, and slightly chaotic in the best way.
Tips, Substitutions & Variations
Add extra honey bourbon barbecue sauce on top for a glossy finish.
Use lettuce wraps or over a salad instead of buns for a lighter version.
Add pickles or crispy onions for crunch contrast.
Cook eggs sunny-side up for a runny yolk “sauce layer.”
Let patties rest 2 minutes before stacking so they hold their shape better.
Storage Information
Store leftover patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a skillet for best texture. Cook fresh eggs when serving leftovers for the best flavor and structure.
