Introduction
Oven roasted corn on the cob is a simple, flavorful side dish that brings out the natural sweetness of corn. Roasted in the oven with butter and seasoning, it becomes tender, juicy, and lightly caramelized with rich savory flavor. Perfect for weeknight dinners, BBQs, or easy meal prep.
Ingredients Breakdown
Corn on the cob — fresh ears of corn, the base of the recipe that roasts until sweet and tender
Melted butter or dairy-free butter — adds richness, moisture, and helps the seasonings cling to the corn
Salt — enhances natural sweetness
Optional seasonings (smoked paprika, BBQ seasoning, etc.) — adds smoky or bold flavor variations. Feel free to play with the seasoning based on what your making for dinner the day.
Ingredients List
4 ears of corn on the cob, shucked
2 tablespoons melted butter or dairy-free butter
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
Optional seasonings as desired
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Place shucked corn onto foil lined with parchment paper.
Brush or drizzle melted butter evenly over the corn.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and any optional seasonings.
Wrap corn tightly in foil to lock in moisture.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway through for even roasting.
Carefully unwrap, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
Smoked paprika adds a subtle smoky BBQ-style flavor.
Broil for 1–2 minutes after baking for light charred edges.
Dairy-free butter works perfectly.
Best served immediately while hot and buttery.
